The Second Thursday, November 20

This a.m., "Mr. Bean" episodes were our in-flight entertainment, apart from Sweti. Mr. Bean's antics made Shawn and Amy laughed our loud.

Laughter soon turned to tears for Sweeti and we landed around 6 a.m. Amsterdam time. It was great to be in a Western airport! We had a few hours to hang out and there much available to do in terms of shopping, relaxation, and refreshment. We soon met up with Kevin and Carmen from Michigan, along with Anjali. We all hung out in the children's play area for a while. We shared our Delhi experiences as well adoption experiences.

Since we were in Holland, Shawn grabbed some Dutch apple pie, which there was just called apple pie, a sausage roll- a pastry with a sausage center, and two cappuccinos. Sweeti enjoyed eating off the sausage roll and washed it down with milk.

We then shopped for some chocolates and Amsterdam souvenirs, such as children's magazines and comic books in Dutch.

"Tempus fugit"- time flew and we weren't to our gate. We had thought we were to be at gate 18. Later it was changed to 22 and then to 19. when we got to gate 19, we found it was much easier than last week passing through Amsterdam airport security.

Because of sealed envelopes relating to Sweeti's immigration, we were questioned by Northwest security regarding who packed our bags etc. It was merely a formality however and we soon found ourselves boarding the plane.

Sweeti has been very playful this morning, smiling and laughing at the games we play with her. She still doesn't want to be held by or sit with daddy but is very attached to mama. She will, however, eat what daddy gives her and play with him. Well, Jonah still would much rather sit with mama than daddy at age 6.

The next time we step out of the plane we will back on American soil in Minnesota!
