Potatoes!

Sweeti was too tempted by the yummy Indian potatoes served at supper to continue her hunger strike. She enjoyed them thoroughly--even picking up a spoon and attempting to shovel them in. She was a real trooper today--having milk powder to make milk when she needed it has really helped.

She also is a little nudist. She really enjoys peeling off all her clothes and making her way around the room and into our suitcases wearing just her diaper--sometimes she wants her shoes on, though.

She is doing a good job of pointing at what she wants and shakes her head and says, "na, na, na" if she does not want what we're doing. She likes to play with wrappers and hold food for hours without eating it.

She is sleeping a lot--like a newborn--which I suppose is from the stress. I like to sleep when I'm stressed out too. Finally she is not startled when she wakes up from her nap. She must realize where she is/who she is with now right away and not be freaked out to be away from Ashraya.

The family we met at the embassy is adopting a 3-year old through Holt. They will also be on our 1 a.m. flight to Amsterdam--if we don't see them tomorrow, we will at the airport. I told her we'd be in the section with the crying baby! Their daughter is very cute and well-behaved. She seemed to have bonded with them. How different it is with a baby--they needed to find toilets several times--and the mom did not seem to enjoy the Indian toilets. We have yet to encounter one.

We're finding we sometimes start calling Sweeti our other childrens' names when she does something like they are known to do. Sweeti likes to wait until the meal is almost done before she starts eating--just like her brother. Sweeti has her own determinated way about her--just like her sister did at that age.

We're going to relax and hopefully sleep most of the night--even though we had a long mid-afternoon nap. The morning was so exhausting, we were completely spent.

Tomorrow is embassy part 2. Hopefully it will be the end of it. Then, sightseeing/shopping on Wednesday, and going to the airport maybe around 10pm to start the journey home!
