A year ago today I met my daughter for the first time. I took this picture within a minute or two of being introduced to her. She was scared and wouldn't come out of the playtent. An auntie eventually had to scoop her out, after which she immediately crawled away from me.
And, my "Aben Baby" today! Love you, Anju! Being your mother (and the process of becoming her) has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life, and I look forward to many more years with you!

Reliving meetcha and gotcha days is so much fun. The flood of emotions--good and scary--brings it all back, doesn't it?
